ABX Air strives to exceed the expectations of our regulatory agencies and to be leaders in our industry in environmentally conscious practices. We are committed to working with local, environmentally concerned groups to preserve and promote the health of our local natural resources.
Earth Day
In 2007, ABX Air was a corporate sponsor of the popular
COSI on Wheels unit that visited Clinton County.
In 2006, ABX Air donated money to help purchase trees that were planted as part of Earth Day.
ABX Air employees plant trees for Earth Day.
ABX also supports local clean up efforts at Cowan Lake's Park Watch and Caesar Creek's Green Up day.
Storm Water Treatment
ABX spent over $12 million implementing a state-of-the-art subsurface storm water treatment facility, the first of its kind at an airport in the U.S. At cold climate airports, de-ice fluid is required to treat aircraft and runways for safe operations in winter weather. The subsurface water treatment facility captures and treats storm water run off that may contain de-icer to ensure that any water released into the environment meets Ohio EPA water quality standards.
