ABX AIR CELEBRATES EXCELLENT ATTENDANCE
Over 1,000 Employees Earned Excellent Attendance in 2008

WILMINGTON, OH - March 25, 2008 - ABX Air, Inc., recently celebrated with over 1,000 employees on their excellent attendance during 2007. “In total, we recognized 1,080 employees,” said ABX Air President John Graber. “That is better than 10 percent of the employees who were eligible.”

The attendance program allows for no more than one missed shift during the year that is coded as unpaid or unscheduled. All full-time and part-time non-management employees are eligible for the program. Consecutive years of excellent attendance increase the rewards earned for employees.

At the recent banquet open to employees who have achieved at least three years of excellent attendance, Senior Vice President of Flight Operations Bob Morgenfeld said, “You folks are here because you share an absolutely outstanding work ethic.”

The banquet is a fun event, and employees are encouraged to bring a guest to share their accomplishment and the fun of the evening. Because attendance is so important to the company, many executives make it a point to attend the event and personally thank those in their departments as well as others. This year marked the 19th annual event and even drew retired ABX Air executives Tom Poynter and Rusty Smethwick to the dinner.

Forty-seven employees have achieved the milestone of 15 or more years of excellent attendance. Betty Smith, Purchasing Assistant, still reigns as the employee with the most consecutive years of excellent attendance at 22 Years.

ABX Holdings CEO Joe Hete thanked the employees saying, “You are the ones we can always count on to show up. Kudos to you.”

ABX Air also awarded six $1,000 prizes. All employees eligible for the attendance banquet from across the country were entered in a drawing. Winning this year were Julia Coloian, Dennis Dakes, James Frank, Connie Huber, Betty Smith and Steven L. Smith.
