ABX AIR ANNOUNCES PROMOTIONS, NEW MANAGEMENT
WILMINGTON, OH - May 2, 2007 - ABX Air, Inc. (NASDAQ:ABXA) is
pleased to announce the promotion of several employees, as well as
the addition of new members of the management staff.

Recognizing his sustained level of leadership and accountability,
Jim Taylor was promoted to Senior Director of Day Operations. Taylor
started at the Air Park in 1979 as a Ramp Employee and has worked in
the Ground Department for the past 28 years. "He has created an
environment of continued improvement," noted Brady Templeton, Vice
President of Ground Operations.

Doug Rudy was promoted to Director of Ramp and Transportation, Night
Operations. Another long-term ABX Air employee, Rudy has been with
ABX for nearly 23 years, starting in July of 1984. He started as a
part-time sorter and has worked his way through several management
positions at ABX Air. "Doug has been successful in leading the Ramp
and Transportation activities while also being supportive of other
activities in the ops," said Templeton.

Rex Gunning was promoted to Director of Flight Technical Training
and Compliance at ABX Air. He oversees the Flight Crew Technical
Training program as well as ensures all department publications and
records are in compliance with FAA requirements. "Rex is an
extremely dedicated and highly valued member of the Flight team,"
according to Senior Vice President of Flight Operation Bob
Morgenfeld.
Gunning started with ABX Air in 1980 as
an Aircraft Inspector. In 1988 he moved to the Flight Department as
a Flight Training Instructor and YS-11 Ground School Systems
Instructor. By 1995, Gunning had also been a DC-9 Flight Instructor
and was promoted to Supervisor of Flight Technical Training. Two
years later he moved the to the Manager spot and in 1999 also took
on compliance to become the Manager of Flight Technical Training and
Compliance. Gunning was with Midwest Air Charter before joining ABX
Air.

There are two new managers within the ABX Air outbase operations.
Brian Schlise was named manager of the East Region. This covers the
Roanoke, Virginia; Erie, Pennsylvania; Providence, Rhode Island;
Niles, Michigan and St. Paul, Minnesota operations. "Brian’s
operational experience and extensive knowledge of the outbase
network, quality, training and industrial engineering methods and
principles should further position the East Region with the ability
to build upon the gains achieved in 2006," according to Senior
Director of Outbase Operations Todd France. Schlise has been with
ABX Air since 1996.

New to ABX Air as Manager of the Providence Regional Hub is John
Millen. He comes to ABX Air with air cargo industry experience. He
started with UPS in 1992 as an unloader and worked his way up to
management in the Providence area. Millen was more recently a
manager at Brinks Armored Car in both Boston, Mass., and Providence,
RI. The last couple of years he managed for Laidlaw Educational
Services Transportation Department in West Warwick, RI, which served
over 8,000 student moving to and from 12 different school districts.
Millen has also served six years with the US Marine Corps.
