ABX AIR AWARDS GOLD WINGS OF EXCELLENCE
Five Employees Earn the Top Honor
WILMINGTON, OH - March 5, 2007 - ABX Air (NASDAQ:ABXA)
– Five ABX Air employees were awarded the company’s top honor
recently – the Gold Wings of Excellence. Senior Equipment
Maintenance Mechanic Larry Boitnott; Field Supervisor, East Region
Aircraft Maintenance Carlos Cock; Field Supervisor, North Region
Aircraft Maintenance Fasiel Flash; Senior Equipment Maintenance
Mechanic Dale Johnson; and Transportation Ramp Operations worker
Russell Lewis, all demonstrated incredible value to the company
through their dedication and ability to think quickly as situations
demanded it.

“This is a special group of people,” said Joe Hete, President and CEO of ABX Air. “Only a small number of employees earn this recognition, and this group certainly deserved it.”
Boitnott, Johnson and Lewis were recognized for reacting quickly to situations and keeping people and equipment safe. Flash and Cock were recognized for the many hours and miles they have put in to keep operations on track in their areas.
“We recognize these employees – the best of the best – both for what they do and for the leadership model they represent to other ABX employees,” added Hete.
The Gold Wings of Excellence Award was created to formally recognize and reward a few select employees who demonstrate by job performance and behavior an outstanding commitment to the ABX Air Corporate Values. Such performance has been demonstrated in a wide range of functions and activities, but the common elements are outstanding achievement, leadership, dedication and creativity. Gold Wings winners are carefully chosen each year from among a large group of employees who received the Silver Wings of Excellence Award during the previous 12 months.
