ABX AIR EMPLOYEES DONATE OVER $116,000 IN CHARITY DRIVE
Drive Supports Cancer Center, Cancer Society, Heart Association and United Way

WILMINGTON, OH - Feb. 12, 2007 - ABX Air’s employees stepped up again this year to “Take Time for Giving” in the annual fall charity drive, netting $116,000 for local charities.

“We themed our drive this year as ‘Take Time for Giving,’ and our employees responded well,” said Paul Cunningham, drive coordinator for ABX Air. “Throughout the nine-week campaign we kept employees informed of the progress and they showed great generosity.”

Employees can sign up for a payroll deduction either as a lump sum or over the length of the year. Additionally, they can write a check and send it in as their donation.

Three of the benefiting organizations have been part of the drive at ABX Air for several years – the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association and the United Way of Clinton County. New this year as an option for employees was the opportunity to pledge or make a donation toward the Foster J. Boyd, MD Regional Cancer Center.

“The American Cancer Society received the lion’s share of the donations and pledges this year,” added Cunningham. “Funds donated toward the Cancer Society are funneled through ABX’s Relay for Life team – one of the top teams in the state for the past few years.”

ABX Air is a cargo airline that operates out of Wilmington, Ohio, and 17 hubs throughout the United States.
