BILL BROWN PROMOTED TO DIRECTOR OF OUTSIDE SALES
WILMINGTON, Ohio - June 1, 2006 - (NASDAQ-NM:ABXA) Bill Brown was recently promoted to Director of Outside Sales at ABX Air, Inc. Brown will be reporting to Joe Hete, President and CEO.
“Bill has been with Airborne and ABX Air for the better part of 20 years,” said Hete. “ His job knowledge and sales skills are a benefit to ABX Air as we work to diversify our business opportunities.”
Brown will be responsible for all third-party sales except freight sales and charter sales. This includes sales of aircraft parts as well as sales of services provided by the airline.
Brown joined ABX in January of 1985 and worked for four and one-half years developing the initial Surplus Sales operation. His next opportunity at ABX Air was as Director of Product Support in 1990. Brown then became Director of Material Sales where he was until March of 1999. Since November of 1999 Brown has been Manager of Outside Sales.
