EMPLOYEES STUFF THE BUS

WILMINGTON, OH - January 3, 2005 - ABX Air employees spent two weeks in December working to "stuff the bus” with over 1,300 pounds of food donations. Additionally, this year, cash donations were accepted and totaled a very generous $1,775. “Employees were filled with holiday cheer, and they shared that so others could enjoy the holiday, too,” said Santa, who visited with employees as they dropped off their goods. For several years, ABX Air has conducted a food drive in support
of the local food pantries. Donations are shared among the Clinton
County Homeless Shelter, Community Action Food Pantry and Your
Father’s Kitchen. |

ABX executives lent their support to the project and staffed the bus at some of its pickup times and locations. Visiting all employee shifts and entry locations took a little over one week, but it allowed all employees the opportunity to participate on their way to or from work. “Our employees support their communities all year by being active and sharing their talents,” said Beth Huber, one of the project coordinators. “This is just one more chance for our employees to share.” |
