Staying With ABX Pays (SWAP)


The SWAP program is an incentive bonus program to encourage brand-new sort and ramp employees to stick out the difficult first few months and become an effective and dependable member of the ABX Air Ground Operations team.

Pay-out Schedule

  • After one month, the payout is $100.
  • After three months, the payout increases by $200.
  • After six months, the payout increases by another $200.

Requirements

  • To receive a SWAP bonus, you must remain a Full- or Part-time Sorter, Ramp Loader, Lead Sorter, or Lead Ramp Loader through the pay-out periods and until the day the checks are issued. These are the only positions eligible for SWAP.
  • If you are promoted to Lead Sorter or Ramp Loader, your SWAP pay-out will be unchanged (these positions are eligible for SWAP).
  • If you are promoted to Sort or Ramp Supervisor during your SWAP period, your pay-out will be pro-rated to reflect the amount of time that you were a Sorter or Ramp Loader.
  • If you move to any other position at ABX Air in any department (even Ground), you will be ineligible to receive further SWAP pay-outs.
  • If your schedule is reduced to Casual status, you will be ineligible to receive further SWAP pay-outs.
  • You must have worked at least 80 percent of your regular schedule.
  • You must not receive a "Must Improve" or "Unsatisfactory" overall rating on your six-month performance appraisal to receive the six-month SWAP pay-out.

Eligibility

  • The only positions eligible for the SWAP bonus are newly hired Full- and Part-time Sorters and Ramp Loaders, Lead Sorters, and Lead Ramp Loaders.
  • Casual, Temporary, Seasonal, or Friends & Family Sort or Ramp employees who convert to full-time or part-time positions at the start rate of the pay scale, and who have never previously received any portion of a SWAP pay-out, become eligible.
  • Re-hires returning above the start rate of the pay scale are ineligible for the SWAP program.
  • Re-hires who have previously received a SWAP pay-out are ineligible to receive another one.
  • Casual, Temporary, Seasonal, or Friends & Family Sort or Ramp employees are ineligible for the SWAP program.
