Every member of the ABX Air Hazardous Materials Emergency Response
Team receives at minimum 36 hours of firefighter training and
technician-level emergency response training. Several members of the
team are also volunteer firefighters and emergency medical technicians
in local communities. In addition to responding to spills in ABX Air
operations, we also provide mutual aid to local communities at the
request of fire departments and emergency management agencies.
