ABX Air Community Involvement

The same commitment to customer service that has created loyalty among our customers also has been present in ABX Air's commitment to being a good corporate citizen.

By holding fund drives, making corporate donations, sponsoring charitable activities, and encouraging employee participation, ABX Air makes an important difference for the quality of life in the communities where it is based.

 

Annual Charity Drive

Employees of ABX Air contributed to the three charities listed above during the company's annual fall charity drive. In 2007, they pledged over $115,000. Additionally, ABX Air, Inc., contributed $10,000 to the United Way of Clinton County.

March of Dimes WalkAmerica of Clinton County

Employees regularly field a team of walkers in the annual March of Dimes WalkAmerica. In addition to raising funds through sponsorship of walkers, the team also holds casual days, and other fundraising efforts.

  • In 2008 the ABX Air team raised more than $3,900, putting them in a tie for second place in the county.
  • The company has been a corporate sponsor of the event since 1995.


Support for Our Troops and Veterans

ABX Air is proud to offer support to its employees on active duty in the U.S. armed forces and to their family members. Employees returning from active duty are welcomed home by an ABX Air Patriotic Committee.

ABX Air has over 1,500 employees who are veterans of military service. ABX Air recently donated a bench at the new Clinton County Veterans Memorial in their honor.

 

American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Clinton County

ABX Air is a corporate sponsor of the American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Clinton County and has been a purple award team for several years.

Heroes Blood DriveBlood Drives

ABX Air hosts blood drives for its employees several times a year.

The August 2008 blood drive drew 168 units of blood.

ABX Air won a Platinum Blood Drive Award, the highest award given by America's Blood Centers, in 2003 for collecting 268 units in the first-ever civilian blood drive on an aircraft (an ABX Air DC-9).

 

Red Cross
